Entre enero y febrero la floración de los almendros reviste el campo mallorquín de un espectacular manto blanco. En sus tres tonalidades -blanca, azul y rosada-, los almendros floridos anticipan la primavera cuando el invierno aún no ha acabado. Una estampa que ha sido recreada en cuadros, novelas y fotografías a lo largo de la historia.
El fenómeno es generalizado en Baleares, donde en primavera se contabilizan más de tres millones de almendros en flor.
Para mi, esta temporada es la mejor, cuando el aire es fresco, el cielo azul y el sol da un poco calor mientras Albert y yo subimos una montaña con vista!
In the end of January, beginning of February the almond trees are starting to have the most beautiful flowers. They are in all shades of white. The flowers tell us that spring is soon here, even if the winter is still on. There are more than 3 millions almond trees here at the Balearic Islands!
For me, this is the best time of year, when the air is crisp, the sky so blue and the sun is warming as Albert and I climb a steep hill to a mountain with a view!
